Millburn Imaging's NEW Open MRI was designed with patient comfort in mind. As you can see in the picture to the left, the MRI scanner is truly open. Compare this to so called "Short Bore" scanners where you are placed inside a tube for the duration of the scan.
This is especially helpful in those people with claustrophobia. If necessary a friend or family member can accompany the patient and even hold their hand.
The patient is free to communicate with the office staff at all times. Music will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring your own CD's if you prefer.

Before your exam you will be given a series of questions to answer. These questions are to ensure that you do not have any metal or electronic devices in your body.
MRI involves the use of extremely high magnetic fields, and the presence of metal could pose a hazard inside the scanner.
Mri scanning is very safe. The vast majority of patients have no risk for MRI scanning. We pose the questions to be sure that the scan will be safe for you.
